If we had to choose one word as the equivalent of… the expression that the beings need to realise –the living beings- to achieve a presence, a succession, continuity...
If we had to search for.. one aspect that could reunite -expressly or implicitly- the necessary to… live together, to arrive to a consensus, to share, to be “with” –“to be with”-…
If we had to look for one word… with which we have to guarantee our presence and our collaboration in life, probably -among the many that have occurred to you already- there is one -that inspires todays prayer- that maybe has this force, this capacity and -at the same time- this sweetness and this “knowing how to be”, which could serve to serve us, which could serve to serve… all of those who surround us and everything we find.
This word would be “Care”. “To Take Care”.
Yes, “To take care”. In the way that we take care of the succession, we make possible the growth… and the new being comes to its higher point.
In the way that we take care of our structure, we make possible the permanence.
In the way that we take care of our surroundings, this returns to us hundredfold, and guarantees our continuity.
In the way that we take care of our feelings!, we become “awakeners” of loves… emotions and passions.
In the way that we take care of the possibility, this is given.
In the way that we go into the unpredictable, the unexpected, the mysterious... with care!: with the care that the jeweller sculptures a diamond; with the care of an artisan carving the jade so that the reflection of the light exalts it; with the care of rocking the baby so that… it is calm, so that it is soothed; with the care that is wielded in the floral art; or with the exquisite care of the tea ceremony…; ay!, with the care that the flower has in exhibiting itself to a world so numerous and long winded -and, nevertheless it sways in the wind and shows us its beauty-.
What strange “care” has the Creation over life! And we say “strange”, because it is mysterious in its “beings” and “doings”. And we say “strange” because… it diversifies in each being!, and is original in all.
But yes; yes… if we don’t kidnap ourselves in the egotism, it's certain that we notice that we are cared for.
Ay!, in this care that warns us!; this care that tunes us!, that warns us… so that, without fear, we can pass through the torrent; this care that clears us; this burning!, care… that warns us.
And what can be said about the constant and permanent… care with which the mother adorns her children? And she licks them and looks carefully… so that not one detail is left without being contemplated.
Without the “care”, we would trip continually; we would be permanently distorted.
In fact -in fact- in this 21st-century, they warn us… about the little care that is produced: the carelessness that contaminates, the carelessness that intoxicates, the carelessness that disrupts, the carelessness that damages...
On the other hand, when the “care” is established… when breathing, chewing, thinking, meditating, walking, working, the new profile of what is shiny is perceived; the texture is discovered...
Like the young man or young lady who is in love and takes care of the first meeting –and maybe, manages to learn to look after all of the meetings; hopefully!-… and goes out of her way to bring out the shine in her cheeks, to make her lips red, to smooth out the wrinkles. And the man makes the effort to maintain with an expression of force!, with rigour, without rigidness, with an elegance that isn't too refined, with evidence of projects and projects… that make whatever real story, “fantasy”.
We could think… that the care is spontaneous. And we wouldn't be without reason to say so. But… but maybe we have learned enough, and –if you are a little bit enthusiastic- we have fallen in love enough… to add the spontaneous and necessary care for survival, for the experience, to add something extra to this care. Maybe... How about if we call it “charisma”?
Yes! We all know that… “Ah, this product is charismatic”. “This man is charismatic”. “This woman has a special charisma...”
Maybe all of the beings have charisma!, but, but, but when we add to the care this loving effect of the exquisite care, the care develops a sweet charisma… which is not sticky, which does not contradict, that is not praise, that is not… an excess of zeal.
Maybe this extra comes from... –yes- is given, by the lustre that we make of the care of what we are: “an inheritance of the Eternal”.
And we do, and we can make of our care -under the praying sense- a charisma, “a caring charisma”, when we care “in the Name of”, when our care becomes brilliant, shining, because now we know enough, because now we have tasted the drunken love!, the loving instant!. And now the care is more exquisite. So much so, that it is charisma. So much so, that it is a caress. So much so, that it is… a cinnamon aroma that runs through our senses to make us… exalted!, vigorous charismatic carers who express themselves in caresses!, that “invite each other” to caress; because they want to take care of each other!, Because they need the care!...
Because to take care is a need of the species! And when we deny it, when we throw it away based on our force, or based in saying:
“Bah! They are stupidities that aren't important! Things of… delicacy! We are not for that!”.
Yes we are for that!...
If, truly we care under the loving prisms, and we make of the care an embrace and a charisma, we don't fall into the vulgarity of the stick, the punch… the drama, the tragedy, the shouting!, the pushing…
We would be careful…
Care, cares!... of the sea wave when it breaks on the shore.
Runs!... escaping it, so that it can expand all that it wants.
Let it leave its mark.
Take care!... take care of the sunrise, feeling it, living it, announcing it.
Take care of the stars. Yes!, you are a carer of the stars. Take care of them and, give them names as well –they didn’t need it because they are going to be there- take care of them knowing how to look at them; knowing that they are furtive tears that are always willing to wet your hardships, to alleviate your pains.
Take care of, take care of!... this piece of earth where you tread, where you go, that becomes a path, that becomes a lane. Take care of it so that the others don't trip!; so that you go… contently!...
Take care of your steps and, each time that you stay still, try to rub away the mark, so that other travellers, when they pass this path, they feel the originality of their presence and, never, take the place of anyone, or “someone”...
Take care of; take care of the form that you have reached. Take care of your silhouette, of your movement, of your expression.
Take care of your being, up to the point that, without being an obsession, it is always… with the touch of knowing it is cared for, clean, cleanly, rested, nourished.
Thanks to the care you have taken of the work that others have realised… you will be permitted to realise other necessary duties
Take care of the legacy that they have donated to you; of flagstones of the roads; of the walls of the churches; of the tormented paintings!; of the bleeding sculptures.
Take care of these remains… that tell you stories. Take care of them!, to continue making your history.
The caring is never sufficient. But, careful! –careful!- don't overwhelm with them!; don't convert he who has to take care, into useless, that so much you have taken care of him that he hasn’t learnt to do it by himself.
The brave, the warriors, the powerful… raised up with their hymns that say they don’t need to be cared for! They could explode horses… or destroy carriages. It wasn’t important.
Nowadays the men –now trained- feel so sufficient, that the care is a weakness. Or rather, they become so careful, that they don't know how to give the loving liberty, of caresses and charisma, in the knowing how to take care of themselves.
Ah!, but you are so brave, woman!; you are so brave, man!, and you believe that you are so self-sufficient…, take care! You have mistreated the care. Take care! You have mistreated the smallest caress. You have gone away from the shine of the charisma. In your self-sufficiency, you have become so vulgar, that you don't even notice; and –probably- those beside you don’t either.
Be careful, as well, Mr self-sufficient, with insinuating cares and later rejecting them. It is a desperate!... vanity, indolent, and it only gestates future sufferers.
Take care…
Take care with the spent!, kisses; those that are vulgarly given. They wear out!, they finish!... It seems as if they are counted.
Take care. Take care with creating -“offering” would be better said- expectations that later you don't know how to take care of.
Take care with renouncing… true offerings.
Take care in choosing. Would you eat whatever thing… just for the sake of chewing?
Take care! The good taste has to be maintained!, the elegance, the excellence, the knowing “how to be”… And it is not a question of power or of gaining, of money or of arrogance. No! It is having taken the care to the loving moment of love. Converting it into caresses and making it “charisma”.
Making it a “prayer”.
Remembering always that the loving care is a gift of the Creation; that without it we wouldn't have any parties, no laughter; we would be blunt and shocking. On the other hand, with it, with the care that the Creation dispenses -which carefully selects and protects us- it gives us sufficient warmth to feel… ourselves! And, at the same time, awakes in us the curiosity towards the others.
Make of the care, a cult -nothing hidden, but evident- of attention, details!, of… statements, precisions, and exactness.
Make of the care, a plus-perfect cult that never tires to promote… a new event!; that renovates in each instant, as the best offer, the best move.
A cult in caring, in the curious capacity of feeling cared for and, consequently, overflowing!... the loving caress… that brandishes the charisma of the lovers.
